I have consulted numerous times over the years with attorneys and investigators concerning cases involving firearms, their use and function, the identification of same, plus cases where recovered bullets, spent cases and other shooting-related matters were relevant.

As a Forensic Firearms Consultant, I examine firearms-related evidence involved in criminal and civil litigation. I do research and perform experiments as necessary to arrive at the facts. One of my duties during consultation is to assist my attorney clients in understanding the less obvious, often technical factors relating to firearms in a particular case. After research, testing, and evaluation of my findings, I form an opinion based on those findings. When required, I prepare a written report detailing the above.
